01

Keep the article when switching

Choose a language from the page’s language controls to open the corresponding article. Titles and address slugs can differ because each version uses its own wording. The shared subject matters more than identical words in the URL; a different slug does not by itself mean a different topic.

02

Recognize browser translation

Your browser may offer to translate a page independently of this publication’s language selector. That feature can help with unfamiliar text, but technical terms and interface labels may be rendered inconsistently. Use the published language version when available, and inspect the original wording if a translated instruction seems unclear.

03

Match the reading view as well

The AMP counterpart should follow the language of the article you selected. Links to the standard version should return to that language’s original page. Search results and related guides are easier to follow when you keep the same language throughout a reading task, switching intentionally when needed.

MERITKING GİRİŞ / A quick checklist

A quick checklist

  • Use the site’s language selector for the corresponding article.
  • Check whether browser translation is changing the displayed text.
  • Confirm that the standard and AMP versions use the intended language.
